Introducing Snappy Straps

Snappy Straps are tethers that I've created that can be used to keep sippy cups, pacis, snack cups, toys, pretty much anything from falling to the ground when your little one throws or drops them. We use them to tether Ben's sippy cups to his highchair/hook on seat when we're out to restaurants, in the stroller - it can attach right onto the Bugaboo bar, on bike rides, in his car seat, in a shopping cart, my Ergo even has a little loop to attach one to it so when Ben's riding on my back I don't have to worry about him throwing or dropping his paci.... they can pretty much snap on to anything you need them to. I've designed them so that they can adjust to fit just about any sippy cup, bottle, snack cup, paci with a loop, toy - you name it.

If you use a brand of bottle or sippy cup that it doesn't fit, I highly recommend using them with "Inch Bugs" or a similar band that fits around your bottle - they can snap right around them in order to fit any cup or bottle. Or, message me and let me know what you'd like to be using them with so that I can create a custom fit for you.

One end has two snaps to choose from - you can use the larger one around sippy cups that don't have handles or the smaller one around the handles of cups that have them. You can also use either snap to fit around a highchair seat belt, car seat belt, stroller belt - anything that's available - so that it's connected to where your baby is seated. The other end has a single snap setting that works the same way. You find which snap setting you need to fit to the item you're tethering and use the opposite end to keep it connected.

All Snappy Straps are hand made with grosgrain ribbon and resin snaps. They're also machine washable - on delicate and hang dry very quickly. * I, however, would NOT recommend washing ones made from certain decorated ribbons (such as the turtles)*

They are just long enough to keep the item within reach, but out of the way if baby doesn't want it; but not long enough that the tethered item can touch the dirty ground. Each measures just about 23" long. *PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED WITH A SNAPPY STRAP* They are for supervised use only.

My CLOTH Obsession

So, what have I been shopping for bargains on lately??? All things CLOTH (diapering that is!). Yes, I'm really giving cloth diapering a serious go! And let me tell you - it is FUN to shop for! Sooo addicting when you see all there is to choose from. I'm currently using Flip diaper covers with my G Diaper "flushies" and prepping and starting to try out Bum Genius (they make Flip) All in Ones. I LOVE them both a ton!

Gilt Sales This Week!!!

Okay, these are so worth mentioning :)

Although, Petunia Pickle Bottom is by far my favorite diaper bag collection, Skip Hop would have to be mentioned as a second, much less expensive must have to me. I really like my Duo Deluxe for my husband to carry and for when I'm feeling really super sporty and my PPB's would just look silly - like if I'm going to be doing some serious trail walking or something with the BOB. I also like to leave it on my stroller as an extra storage area when we travel and will be out for the whole entire day to keep extra stuff in (it matches my Bugaboo perfectly with the black and red - looks kind of like it was made for it). Gilt has them on sale for $30 right now!

Tomorrow, SPANX will be on - Yay! I love Spanx, they're just a great invention for making you look just a little more put together :)

Eat Healthy - FREE!!!

So, one thing that every woman (mommy or not) has to shop for is food... in my quest to eat and feed my family more healthy foods, I've turned to Earth Fare. If you're lucky enough to have one near you, be sure to sign up for their Pantry Makeover. It's completely free and a great way to try their healthy alternatives to some of the foods you eat everyday. Just fill out the online form and pick out some items from your pantry (even half empty!), take them to your local EF and they'll exchange them for their brands in full sizes! I'm completely pleased with all the products I've tried and my husband even asked me to buy more of their peanut butter (no small feat!). I've found that their products are very high quality, packaging is earth friendly, prices are competitive and selection is very good. Remember to bring your own reusable totes as they're doing away with plastic bags :) Also, be sure to sign up for their e-mails as each week they'll send you a coupon or two for free items.

Some of my Favorite Shopping Sites

Here's a little secret: lately I've been really into some different "Deal a Day" websites. I have been trying to share them with all my friends when I find a "deal" I think that they might be interested in and it's been really hard to keep track of who I've told, etc. So, rather than try to keep up with it all through Gmail, I've decided to post here and just let you all know about this blog. I have a *little* shopping problem and I think it's helpful that I at least know how to save money when shopping for all the nice things I *have* to have :)

So, here's a bit of a list.

The first is a list of sites that you join by invitation. Just to let you know upfront, when someone joins and makes their first purchase the invite-er (is that a word?) does earn credit to shop with; but all your friends will want to join and shop so you'll earn credits, too :) Most of the sales change daily or weekly and end sooner if the items sell out beforehand. You'll have an opportunity to sign up for which sale alerts you'd like (if any) and I will post here when there are ones coming up that I think are super fantastic!
